Description
Hand-cut in Waterford, Ireland, these tall goblets carry the unmistakable signature of the Lismore pattern: deep diamond cuts at the base rising to long, clear wedges that catch and scatter light.
Lismore debuted in 1952, designed by Miroslav Havel, and quickly became the house’s most collected pattern — a balance of old-world Irish cutting skill and mid-century modern clarity. The Iced Beverage form was introduced for elegant table service, holding chilled water, sparkling spritzers, or a tall pour of sangria.
Each stem is mouth-blown, then cut by master artisans using diamond wheels, a process little changed in over 200 years of Waterford craft. The stem’s solid knop and star-cut foot give the glasses a satisfying weight and stability.
Pairs in this size are increasingly sought after because most services lose tall stems first; they were the daily workhorses, often sacrificed to dishwashers or celebratory toasts. Finding a matched set in excellent clarity is a small win for collectors and hosts alike.
