Estate Sale Process
WHAT WE DO
- Schedule a free home evaluation and answer any questions.
- Provide a contract for you to read and sign whenever you are ready.
- Start the work – unpacking boxes, staging the house, researching and pricing the contents.
- Take photos and advertise the sale.
- Conduct the sale.
- Complete or manage any requested clean-out services.
- Send you a check!

FAQS
How long will the process take? Typically, it takes two weeks to prepare the home and stage and price the contents of the home. The actual sale will be two to five days depending on the size of the estate.
What do I need to do to prepare for the sale? We ask that you remove any personal items that will not be part of the sale prior to our advertising the sale online.
If we find any additional personal items, we will set them aside and contact you.
Please don’t throw anything away. Let us decide what to get rid of and what to sell. Some people love old, worn-out items.
What happens if everything doesn’t sell?
There is stuff left over at every estate sale, including but not limited to large furniture.
With your cooperation, we may be able to sell some items after the estate sale.
Alternatively, we can arrange for a company to haul everything away for you. Or you can find a charity to donate things to.

ABOUT US
Who owns Gold Country Treasures?
We are both hard-working entrepreneurs and have been working together since 1983. (Yes, we’re still married. Imagine that!)
Cheryl’s first business was Napa Valley Cleaning Service, which she started in 1980. Perfectionists make GREAT house cleaners, btw. Kevin expanded that business in 1991 when we began cleaning wineries and doing construction cleanup.
Before that, Kevin owned and operated a 1000-cow dairy in Fruita, CO, with his uncle. He’s a country boy and his work ethic shows it.
One of our strengths that has helped us outperform in all the businesses we have operated is our innate talent for doing things better. In the cleaning business, we focused on “exceptionally thorough,” making sure we got “baseboards, corners, and cobwebs.” Our clients loved the quality of our work and the reliability of our service.
We operate our estate sale business the same – that is, we are totally committed to a highly successful outcome and will do everything we can to reach that goal. Plus, you will not find anyone with more integrity, which is hard to find in this industry.
