Description
Build a substantial garden planter, contained water feature, landscape trough, or homestead focal point around this 35-inch cast-iron hog scalding kettle. Its deep rounded bowl, thick rim, and lifting lugs provide the scale and agricultural form that lightweight garden containers imitate but cannot reproduce.
The kettle measures 15 inches deep with an estimated 50-to-60-gallon capacity. Its bottom is intact and not rotted through, giving the next project a stronger starting point for planting or a carefully designed water feature than a vessel already open at the base.
